Vince Terence Newman, the Vikings of Minnesota, continued his professional career.


The Vikings announced a new signing of Newman on Monday. He will play his 16th season.


Newman was selected by Dallas Cowboys as the 10th pick in the first round of the 2003 draft, when the cowboy's defensive coordinator was Madden Mobile Account today's Viking coach Mike Zimmer. Newman who played for the Vikings in the past three seasons played in the latter's nine seasons in the last 15 seasons.


The 39-year-old Newman made a total of 42 steals and ranked second among active players. He played a total of 221 games (205 starts) and ranked 10th among active players. Newman, who was twice selected for the professional bowl, made at least 1 interception each season. In addition, he obtained a total of 876 tackles, 172 passes and 2 kills.


In the Vikings, Newman will be the leader of the Vikings' defensive back position, and in this position his teammates are Xavier Rhodes, Trae Waynes, and Harry. Harrison Smith, Mackensie Alexander and this year's first-round pick Mike Hughes.


Newman, who will be 40 years old on September 4, will soon be the oldest defensive player in the league.
