Mine Necrite Ore & more with Elder Rune Pickaxe
In the reworked Mining & Smithing, you are give a new mining pickaxe, Elder Rune Pickaxe, to mine more ores. There is no requirement in wielding it. However, the new pickaxe is a level 90 mining pickaxe that causes 45 damages minimally, and 135 maximally with 235 penetration. The statistics of the Elder Rune Pickaxe are among the best in RS game. With it, you can surely mine as many rocks as you like.
Now if you go mining necrite rocks with Elder Rune Pickaxe on the Uzer mining site, Bandit camp mining site, Desert Mining Camp (Requires Tourist Trap), or Al Kharid mining site resource dungeon (equires 75 Dungeoneering), you will get newly the added Necrite Ore. At level 70 Smithing, you are able to smelt it in a furnace with a piece of phasmatite to form a necronium bar. With the necronium bar, you can smithe different necronium weapons and armour, and gain a considerable profit from them in Grand Exchange.
Exchange the Rune Item Token for items and salvages
Rune Item Token is a new item in Mining and Smithing rework. After the rework, Smithable rune items were converted into Tokens at logging in. And the one-time conversion is the only way you can gain the Tokens. You can exchange the Tokens for upgraded rune items or rune salvage from Elf in Artisans Workshop.
