Being in a innovative type can be fun. It's completely what you make of this. The main requirement is just time. I used to raid something similar to monday - thursday 8pm-12am. That's probably not that even that extreme of a time commitment in contrast to other guilds Gold in WoW Classic, but I literally only could have made this job back when I was in high school and college and had no existence and lots of free time. And that's just the raiding part.
You absolutely have to devote all sorts of period apart from the 16 hours each week of simply raiding. Back when I had been playing WoW Classic heavily I likely would play like 40 hours per week and I absolutely loved it. In hindsight I wish I had not wasted so much time onto a damn video game, but in the time it was something that made me happy. At this stage I would not recommend anyone get to a hardcore guild, but I have given up gambling completely because I repent the time I spent not living my life at a more productive manner.
I had been in a naxx 40 clearing guild back in high school, I raided each and every day on voice chat for 5 hours. Our guild was a merger involving a newbie molten core guild and 8 elitist ex hardcore men, I was in the newcomer guild raiding two days weekly. They advised us you either raid 7 days per week or two kick. So I remained and within 3 weeks c' thun was draining and moving onto naxx. We didn't need to farm pots or anything but we needed to buy flasks along with the guild paid for a few baskets, but during the AQ40 unlock occasion everyone was expected to put out 12 hour shifts farming the silithus dinosaurs to the war effort.
Nearly all of this is wrong. The raids in vanilla can be cleared in one evening MC/BWL/Ony or AQ/Naxx. You won't go back to MC/BWL once Naxx is outside. Top speed runs for MC are under 20 minutes. You compete and can be in a hardcore raid. ZG has some good things so another hour a week until you have. The world bosses don't have loot thats worth carrying them are killed really quickly by a mix of people from different guilds.
You do not NEED alts to maintain a top guild just like you do on dwell, the meta is not changing and you don't need to run breaks because there is time to gear up between the raid releases and there is only 1 difficulty.Being in a casual guild is what's going to require a huge amount of time. Wiping over and over, learning the struggles, attempting to do things without the right consumables which people refuse to get.
