OSRS NewsMorytania is home to some of the most popular activities in Runescape: the Barrows Brothers, the Slayer tower, and those experience-dense experiment monsters. Although the area is used frequently, it has been some runescape 3 gold time since the dark land has received any updates.
However, that has come to an end with the introduction of a new quest series, dubbed Sins of the Father.
Darkmeyer Castle
One of the new areas to be introduced is the Darkmeyer Castle. Within the dreary walls are a host of new shops and skilling spots.
The castle will have several ore deposits for a new type of Runecrafting essence. This new essence will be obtained by mining the ore, dubbed daeyalt, throughout the castle to receive daeyalt shards. The shards can be traded for daeyalt essence. This new essence behaves exactly as pure essence but will give additional XP on use. Sadly, the essence is untradeable.
Also, new NPC’s are going to be populating the halls of the keep. Species of Vampires will be available to pickpocket and to kill for new slayer tasks.
Amulet of Torture
Although the blog from Jagex did not go into detail, a new item was teased that could be the next huge item.
The Amulet of Torture is a new necklace that can be combined with Blood Shards to give a small percentage of life-steal on melee attacks. The percentage remains unknown; however, the prospect of having a good life-steal amulet for melee players is promising for melee players.
The process to obtain the amulet is unknown, but to get blood shards, the player must pickpocket or kill the higher-level vampires.Be sure to vote in the next poll to help expand our spooky backyard!
