Nighthold release date on NA/EU
Normal and Heroic Nighthold will be open on January 17 for NA and on January 18 for EU. The Mythic and Raid Finder versions will be released in the weeks following that.
Raid tuning on Trials of Valor next week
Along with Nighthold release date, Blizzard will also release a tuning update for Trials of Valor raid next week. It will mainly focus on Heroic and Mythic difficulty, which will help players go through these challenges and prepare for Nighthold.
Differences between Nighthold and patch 7.1.5
First, the release dates of Nighthold and 7.1.5 are independent. That means, Cutting Edge: Xavius and Ahead of the Curve: Xavius will be unavailable at the release date Nighthold.
Second, the PTR is in flux, and there is a lot of tuning to be done before 7.1.5 and Nighthold release. So the finalized Nighthold would be an improved one, compared to one in PTR.
Rewards from WOW Nighthold raid bosses
Tier 19 armor dropping from Nighthold 10 bosses, including the final boss, Gul'dan. Defeating Gul'dan will reward you Tier 19 legs and the trinkets, like Draught of Souls, Infernal Contract, and Whispers in the Dark. Defeating Mythic Gul'dan rewards Vengeance Incarnate and Fiendish Hellfire Core with a 100% drop rate. All other difficulties (except LFR) have a small chance to drop Living Infernal Core.
Higher base-ilvl is required to progress Nighthold bosses
