Hello,
my husband and adopted a kitten from a "foster" group- not entirely sure if she's a self-run "foster" or from an actual group. He was neutered at 6 weeks old and didn't have any other siblings around him so we have never really been able to see him play or wrestle. He was super skinny and pretty pathetic- which is what stole our hearts.
We've had him for three weeks now. he eats and drinks just fine. His poops are still pretty soft and stinky - but he also eats alot of wet kitten food (he doesn't seem interested in the dry food at all)- and he's definitely putting on weight- which is great.My concern is we have not been able to get him to play AT ALL since we've had him. We've tried a variety of kitty toys and he just stares at them- then looks at us like we're crazy- then comes and curls up in our laps like a lazy beast. All he wants to do is cuddle and be loved on - which is great - but he's only about 11 weeks old now and we have yet to see any typical kitten "energy" come from this little guy.
Is it possible this is just his personality? He seems pretty healthy in every sense EXCEPT for the fact that he refuses to play. Thank you
