Max is the type of relatable protagonist to which kids will be attached (my seven-year-old was) and the supporting characters are way more memorable than normal non-Pixar menu, enlivened by excellent voice work from people like Moynihan, Brooks, Hart and especially Slate.

They manage to escape, but become marked for death by the leader, Snowball (Kevin Hart) — a fluffy white bunny with psychotic tendencies. I was waiting for the spot as I discover in many animated movies I have previously viewed in the movie that would make me roll my eyes, but it never occurred.
