Herblore in Old School Runescape is the ability to create potions for various uses in the game. It is a members-only skill for players in OSRS. The player uses various herbs along with other ingredients to buy rs3 gold and create these potions. Once players are skilled in Herblore, it can become a very profitable skill.

Once a player reaches level 3 in Herblore, a player can begin to create potions once they have completed the Druidic Ritual. Potions require an herb, a secondary ingredient, and a vial of water.
One of the more tedious yet profitable ways for players to gain points in herblore is cleaning grimy herbs. Grimy herbs can lower the quality of a potion as opposed to potions with clean herbs. While cleaning herbs is a slower and more time-consuming method, it can gain a player a large amount of experience points.
The Druidic Ritual is a fairly short quest around Taverley. It is considered an introduction to Herblore in OSRS. The player is tasked with figuring out how to make enchanted meat for the druids of the area.
Herblore can be a profitable skill, depending on what potions the player is making and how much time the player can create. Utilizing the Amulet of Chemistry can aid in creating potions as well. The amulet works well with potions that are worth less than one amulet per five doses to create. Some potions will be cheaper for a player to buy as opposed to the ingredients required to make them yourself.

Creating potions and cleaning herbs are excellent ways to build skills in Herblore. Creating potions can be highly profitable for improving players skills. Be warned, however, that some of the higher level potions can be costly. Therefore, some players may opt to focus on the cheaper potions which will require more work but less gold.
Another option for potions is to use the Grand Exchange to purchase unfinished potions. This option allows players to purchase potions cheaper than have to create the potion from scratch. Potion calculators can aid a player in making these choices. The price is affected by if the player used grimy herbs, clean herbs, or unfinished potions to create the potion. These calculators allow players to measure the gold/XP cost of a particular potion.
Quests
There are several quests that require Herblore skills and also will help players to develop these skills. As mentioned above, the Druidic Ritual is the starting point for developing this skill. The experience points will aid players in increasing their skills. Other major quests that will aide in building these skills include the Hero’s Quest, Jungle Potion, Recruitment Drive, the Dig Site, and Grimm’s Tale.Several other quests can aid in building Herblore skills. Many of the early quests have no pre-skill requirements, so players can complete them first to easy experience points.
