After months of waiting, Blizzard Entertainment has finally announced the World of Warcraft Shadowlands expansion release date during the Gamescom 2020 opening day. On October 27, the heroes of the Horde and the Alliance will forge their own fate in the next world as World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, the eighth expansion for Blizzard Entertainment’s acclaimed massively multiplayer online role-playing game, launches around the globe.”

The announcement also features the debut of the Shadowlands-themed animated series, titled Afterlives, which will set the stage for the expansion’s launch. During the qualification process, a total of 48 members of the Alliance and Horde split into 6 groups competing for the opportunity to advance into the Group Stage on the popular Faerlina server from May 4 to May 21.
